International Space Station presents the world in HD

Remember a few weeks ago when I got all excited about the ISS offering a webcam stream? Well, apparently NASA enjoyed my enjoyment so much that they upgraded the cameras to HD quality!

Okay, so it’s nothing to do with me. The “High Definition Earth Viewing” (HDEV) experiment is actually part of HUNCH: High Schools United with NASA to Create Hardware. Yes, it seems that the National Aeronautics and Space Administration needs acronyms for everything it does.

Sometimes the live stream goes grey (super-close alien selfies), so you can see the ISS’s video of the Earth’s best bits here:
